Urban Moves is the festival of new and surprising outdoor dance performance in Manchester, UK, celebrating the unique cityscape and architecture with performances in the most unexpected of places. World renowned international companies perform along with British homegrown talent and the programme includes special commissions and premieres of new work. Urban Moves also hosts a big outdoor ball so that everybody can join in and dance.

Urban Moves es un festival que promueve un nuevo y sorprendente concepto de danza al aire libre en Manchester, Reino Unido, cuyo paisaje urbano constituye un escenario arquitectónico único y donde las actuaciones se suceden en los lugares más inesperados. Compañías internacionales de reconocido prestigio actuarán junto con artistas locales de gran talento. El programa incluye actuaciones especiales y estrenos de nuevas obras. Urban Moves también organiza danza al aire libre para que todo aquel que lo desee pueda unirse al baile.

Urban Moves is presented by Dance Initiative Greater Manchester in association with Manchester International Arts. Urban Moves is a bi-annual festival occurring only in 2006 as a partner of Big Dance. The next full Urban Moves Festival takes place July 2008
