Festival El CRUCE

El Cruce es un Festival que nace con la necesidad de propiciar y afianzar en Rosario, un espacio de confluencia para la producción de grupos y compañías independientes de Danza Contemporánea, Danza Teatro y Teatro que tienen como eje de trabajo el movimiento y el cruce de lenguajes. El Cruce es un encuentro anual que reúne artistas locales e invitados nacionales y extranjeros de distintas disciplinas. Durante los días que dura este encuentro se suceden espectáculos, seminarios, encuentros de improvisación, música, muestras, charlas, videodanza, etc. buscando la confluencia en Rosario de propuestas innovadoras de la escena actual y tendencias que reflejen y den cuenta al público local del panorama escénico contemporáneo.A partir de la edición 2006 El Cruce se suma a la red internacional Ciudades Que Danzan, red que incluye 20 festivales alrededor del mundo en grandes ciudades y que dan cuenta de la relación entre Danza y espacios urbanos, Danza y Arquitectura. Actividades:

Rosario’s El Cruce festival is born from the need to encourage and consolidate a space in which the production of groups and companies from different areas of Contemporary Dance, Dance Theatre and Drama can coexist. These groups consider movement and the crossing of languages as the focal point of their work. El Cruce is an annual festival in which local artists and both national and international guests have the possibility to meet in Rosario city. During the festival there are performances, seminars, dance improvisations, concerts, talks, videodance projections, etc. trying to reach a junction between innovative proposalsand general trends able to reflect and give, to the local audience, an account of the contemporary scene.

From the 2006 El Cruce festival joins the international network Ciudades Que Danzan (Dancing Cities) —a net of 20 dance festivals all over the world carried out in big cities. These festivals are about the relationship between dance and the urban spaces, dance and architecture.

Activities:

Performances (local groups, national and international guests) in two different segments: a shows' programme and a short scenes and coreographies' programme.

Urban appearances: This one is a new segment of the festival that has joined the International Network of Dancing Cities early this year.

Forums / Talks (spaces to reflect on different topics related to scene languages)

Seminars / Workshops

Experimental space - Contactimprovisations  jams (exchanging improvisation and artistic creation experiences).

Exhibitions (photography, installations).

Videodance (projections).
